You can make a difference in the lives of teens in your community. Volunteer to teach teens all about their paychecks on Money Matters National Education Day.
Volunteer today at www.nationalpayrollweek.com!
It’s easy to volunteer. Just visit www.nationalpayrollweek.com and fill out the volunteer form. Once you register, you’ll be automatically directed to the volunteer portal where you can download a complete, free lesson plan and PowerPoint presentation.
Once you’ve registered to volunteer, contact your local school or youth group and reserve a spot to teach. You can pass along the lesson plan to show the school what you’ll be teaching, and demonstrate the importance of this unique event. Teens will learn about:
- The first day on the job
- How to fill out a Form W-4
- How paycheck deductions work
- Minimum wage issues
- Overtime issues
- Teen employee rights
- What happens to their tax dollars?
Make Money Matter’s National Education Day 2008 a day to remember! Volunteer today to help teens understand the ins and outs of their paychecks and the withholding system.
